This smith worked in Mino and signed "Noda Goro Fujiwara Kanesada".  Later on he moved to Owari and changed his signature to "Owari Ju Kinmichi".  This sword was made around 1688 (Genroku period).  Please check the reference numbers above for Hawleys.

The quality of this sword is very high and looks like it must be one of this smiths best work.  The elegant shape and the overall balance of the sword is superb.  The sword is flawless and extremely healthy.  The itame/masame hada is crystal clear and has a very silk look to it.  The activity and workmanship in the hamon is also exceptional.  Many sunagashi are found with on abundance of ashi and nie mixed in.
