This Tadayoshi worked as a Rikugun jumei Tosho. Rikugun Jumei Tosho were certified swordsmiths from the Army headquarter of Japan during wartime. Their names appear in "Rikugun Jumei Tosho Meibo (1933)" .  Besides Yasukuni tosho and Minatogawa tosho, these smiths produced Gendaito and the star stamp was marked when passed by Rikugun Shinsa.

HAMON DETAIL
These pictures are taken under special lighting to show the details of the Hamon quality and Hataraki.  So please take note that the color of the steel is more like the picture above, and the Hada may look more course or not visible at all at times, so to understand the hada properly on this sword look at the picture above.

This katana is in a fresh polish and should be placed in shirasaya to preserve the polish for many years.  It has no flaws and has great hataraki and a well forged hada.  The mounts are in intact but show wear and the fuchi is missing the locking pin for the saya.  This is a very beautiful sword and a great example of a gendai-to.

This sword is on consignment.
