A beautiful Oei period sword this wakazashi is attributed to Chiyozuro Ieyoshi. A member of the Chiyozuru Ha, it is also thought that Kashû Ieyoshi is the same person.  The blade dates to the Oei period which started in the late 14th century through the early 15th century. The hamon is a healthy chu-gunome midare in notare. The hada consists of very nice well worked mokume burls with a hint of itame nagare and ji-nie appears. There is kakitoshi bohi on both sides and the boshi is finished in hakikake. All in all wonderful example of a koto kashu blade from the Oei period.
