JUMYO

 

This JUMYÔ  followed; JUMYÔ KÔANSAI [TENNA 1681 MINO] SHINTÔ CHÛJÔSAKU

                He is called Kondô Sôzaemon, he was named a Bhuddist Priest (Hokkyô) in Tenna Sannen (1683), and he died at the age of 84 in Genroku Jûrokunen (1703).

The quality is evident on this sword.  The beautiful and elegant shape of this sword is only added to by the active hamon and the quality of the Jigane make this a fine sword.  It has no flaws and comes in a fresh professional polish.  The lengths is 28" and it is Ubu.  The hada is Itame with some beautiful Mokume mix in areas throughout the sword.  The hamon is O-Midare with many Hataraki.  It is Nioideki and you can find many Sunagashi, Kinsuji, Ashi, Uchinoke.  In hand the Hataraki can really be appreciated as there is much more than can be seen in the picture below.
