Masakuni is from the school of HORIKAWA KUNIHIRO. Horikawa Kunihiro was an extremely famous and well know swordsmith. This sword received Tokubetsu hozon kai from the NBTHK. The beautiful Masame hada has an abundance of Ji-nie that only adds to this sword quality. The overall understated elegance of this sword make it very beautiful. The Hamon is also very well made and many hataraki are visible throughout this blade. It has a interesting Shobu-zukuri shape that is not common and the sword in hand is even more beautiful than in these pictures.
