TSUNEIE OSAFUNE [EIKYÔ 1429 BIZEN] CHÛKOTÔ CHÛJÔSAKU

He is said to be the son of Osafune Mitsuhisa (Kokin Meijin), and worked from Ôei to Eikyô.  His style includes many honzukuri and hirazukuri, hamon is suguba or gonome choji.  (Ryôwazamono)

Signature:         BISHÛ OSAFUNE TSUNEIE

This wakazashi is very nicely forged.  The hamon and hada show good activity.  The sword is very old and has been polished a few times but overall it is in good condition for its age.  The hada also shows very nice utsuri that is common to Bishu blades of this quality.
