This is a very fine sword made by a JO-SAKU level sword smith.  The activity in this sword is exceptional for a shinto period sword.  The hada is very tightly forged and has no flaws on the blade.  Only a very small opening can be seen in the picture below under the habaki.  The profuse activity of the hada works its way into the hamon also adding to the beauty of this long sword.  The hamon is also very active and is very beautiful with hataraki and hada showing thru it.  Very few shinto swords show this activity and beauty.  The Kisaki is long and also shows the class and quality of this sword.  In hand this is an incredible sword to view made by a high level smith.
